Royal Enfield has once again captured the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts with its latest masterpiece—Project Delta. This one-off custom build, created in collaboration with Australian custom workshop Purpose Built Moto, takes the Super Meteor 650 and transforms it into a rolling work of art inspired by the vintage motorcycles of the 1940s and 1950s. If you love motorcycles with a blend of history and cutting-edge craftsmanship, you’re in for a treat !
A Frame That Blends Old-School with Innovation

At first glance, Project Delta looks like it was plucked straight out of a bygone era. The motorcycle features a hardtail-style frame, which gives it that classic rigid frame look, but with a cleverly integrated monoshock conversion to maintain ride comfort. To keep the vintage aesthetics intact, an in-frame oil cooler has been added—maintaining function without compromising the bike’s sleek, streamlined design.
The front end gets a handcrafted girder fork, complete with an adjustable downhill air shock, staying true to the golden age of motorcycling while ensuring modern performance. This attention to detail is what makes Project Delta a true piece of engineering artistry.

Retro Wheels, Tires, and Tank That Scream Classic Elegance

Royal Enfield and Purpose Built Moto left no stone unturned when it came to the wheels and tires. The bike rolls on custom-built spoked wheels—a massive 23-inch front wheel and a 19-inch rear wheel—wrapped in vintage-pattern tires that complete the old-school bobber aesthetic.
The fuel tank is a true showstopper. Taking inspiration from the 1952 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 700, the tank is hand-built from aluminum and designed to complement the bike’s overall vintage appeal. The rear fender, tail light, and floating bobber-style seat wrapped in cherry red leather further enhance the motorcycle’s timeless charm.
And let’s talk about the paint job—it’s a jaw-dropping blend of black, gold, and cherry red, with intricate Art Nouveau-inspired designs that make this bike a rolling piece of art.

A Powerhouse Beneath the Vintage Look

Don’t let the vintage look fool you—Project Delta is no museum exhibit. Underneath all the retro elegance is Royal Enfield’s modern and much-loved 648cc parallel-twin engine, producing 47 horsepower and 52Nm of torque. This means it doesn’t just look the part—it rides like a dream, delivering a raw, immersive experience every time you twist the throttle.

Not for Sale, But Worth Every Glance

Here’s the catch—Project Delta is a one-off custom build and will not be hitting showroom floors. That means if you were hoping to own this masterpiece, you’re out of luck. But that doesn’t mean you can’t admire it from afar!
Royal Enfield’s dedication to honoring its rich heritage while pushing the limits of design and engineering is evident in every inch of Project Delta. It’s the kind of motorcycle that fuels our passion for two wheels and reminds us why we fell in love with riding in the first place.
