Welcome to the Chuka – Boom Range Wilderness Escape
Hey friends 🌄15th to 17th August, we are heading out on a rare off-beat Himalayan escape tour to Boom Range and Chuka Village in Uttarakhand.

This region is surrounded by dense jungle, completely raw and untouched — encircled by the emerald Sharda River, lush tropical foothill forests, and the wild, soulful vibe of the Nepal border.

Boom Range gets its name from the “boom” sound that echoed when logs were dropped into the river during the British era — and even today, those echoes still wander through the valley. The population is very small, literacy is high, and modern distractions simply don’t work here.

Chuka Village lies amidst golden wheat fields, at the river’s confluence point — just a river’s width away from Nepalese soil. Imagine camping on the riverbank, listening to jungle sounds, floating on the Sharda River while fishing for golden mahseer, and experiencing the deep silence of the forest at midnight.

Nature lovers will be thrilled: towering sal trees, chir pine, semal, kusum, massive fig trees — the ecology is rich and diverse. There are also direct trekking connections to Jim Corbett legends, and signs of wildlife are sometimes spotted.
